I'm 34 years of age, and I remember growing up watching the Jetson's cartoon. I always said how cool would it be if we could actually talk to someone on the phone and be able to see them. Nowadays if you don't have Skype no worries, you can still make an android to android video calls. You don't have an android it's okay iPhones do facetime as well. Oh, wait you don't have compatible phones, no worry again, get on and download Google Hangouts, or Snapchat and what I thought was so cool on the Jetson's is just everyday life here now. While thinking of this, I looked at the following website and even though it mainly talks about flying cars it really made me think. While I was so stoked when mom and dad actually got a phone without a cord so I could talk to girls in private, always wishing the Jetson's cartoon was real. As I've stated above, they have started with the phone, but this article says we might be closer to the Jetson's lifestyle than we believe. http://www.article-3.com/wheres-my-jetpack-912808.html.
Maybe thinking space cars is a bit extreme and we may or may not see it during my lifetime. However, you can't deny that just looking at how phones have taken over our everyday life has impacted almost everyone immediately. As I said earlier, you can leave everything except your phone. Your phone can pay for products either online or at a store no matter which smartphone you have. It has your maps on it so you can get around everywhere you wanna go. It stores your numbers so you can reach out in moments of help, and if they don't answer just call or text someone else, someone will eventually answer you. You get pulled over, or God forbid an accident you don't have a wallet on you, again no worries your phone has your ID and insurance right there for you. Also, they keep evolving to help better make our lives more convenient. CNN has some ideas of how the smartphone will change over the next few years in this article, http://www.cnn.com/2012/10/05/opinion/curran-lampe-mobile-phones/index.html, I'm unsure if I agree with it all, but I'm also the guy who never thought we'd be able to look at someone while talking to them on the phone.
